I walked the Canal and was so impressed. A little like Paris along the river. Very special place to spend time, sunken below the streets in a City. Many different people, tourist, locals sitting around, people jogging and of course walking. You can rent a...More

Even on a cold and rainy early spring day, walking along the canal was peaceful and beautiful. I can only imagine it in better weather!

Ran the 3 miles from one end to the other and back. Plenty of space for runners, walkers, strollers, families and very scenic. Didn't have time during trip to walk it as it would have been even better with sights we missed running.

The canal is a relatively short walk along a paved sidewalk. Could use a bit more landscaping or other features, but still nice. Rental pedal-boats are available, And a number of good museums are very nearby. Park once and spend the day.

Took walk from Ohio street to end of canal and back. Very clean and peaceful walk. Looks like paddle boats and kayaks available for rent too, but we just had a leisurely stroll. Few dining options along the canal as well.

While there is new construction going on around the canal, it is a pleasant access to the downtown area. It provides a great walking or biking access to many of the government buildings, hotels, and restaurants. If you have a chance to walk the canal,...More

And lots of pokestops and gyms. This a pretty Riverwalk that is used by runners, locals and tourists. It’s what makes me Like Indianapolis so much. I wish I lived near a place this interesting, light and airy to walk every day.
