Victoria was a great tour guide. Very informative, very personable and very nice. This mansion was more downscale then Ruthmere, but still very nice to tour. If in the Elkhart IN area, visit both mansions.

You might as well go across the street and see the Havilah Beardsley House while your touring Ruthmere Mansion. The house is from the Victorian Era and there is rich history about Elkhart, the beginning jobs here and the Indians!

This was the home of one of the founders of Elkhart and a relative of the owners of Ruthmere. It was changed and added to by subsequent residents. It is an excellent example of a home of a well to do businessman at the time....More

I was at the Havilah Beardsley House for a business meeting and then a tour. They have a nice room that will hold 30+ for a meeting. We also were given a tour of the home. One of the original homes in Elkhart.

Open Tuesday to Saturday $5 or combo pass for Ruthmere is $13. Best to check website info for Ruthmere museum in Elkhart IN
