Wanted to visit the memorial on the site and visited the connected SJM centre. Absolutely fantastic. An arcitectural gem and the exhibits tell the story of how the Aussies helped turn the war in the allies favour. The central film area with screens all around...More

I made the 45-minute drive from my hotel in Albert to the new Monash Center. Upon my arrival in the spacious parking lot I made a stop at the restrooms which where spotlessly clean and also spacious. I walked through the cemetery where I stopped...More

Having travelled the world and visited numerous commemorative exhibits I was very disappointed with the SJMC. The use of technology and environmentally friendly environment left me cold. A small space with a minimal displays and numerous screens led to nearly 3 hours of standing -advised...More

Beautifully maintained and the museum is a must visit. Looks over the fields and villages where fighting and death took place.

Annexed to the Australian War graves in Villers-Bretonneux this brand new museum commemorates the Australian involvement in WW1 at the site of the battles. Very moving experience. Proud to be among the first Australians to visit this new museum.

First visited in 2010 before the Centre existed and in my view the Centre adds so much more to the story of Australian valor in WW1. The Centre is very hi tech and maybe difficult for older or less technical people. Maybe they will provide...More

Would totally recommend a visit to the new centre, only opened in the past few years. Great audio-visual interactive, helpful staff, and a very sobering overview of what really went on with all fighting personnel - Allies and Germans, across the prolonged years of fighting....More
