Old capital was in my top ten courses within 2 hours from my house. but the last visit kicked it out, purchased Groupon package for $70.00 for two players said good Monday - Friday, we had a tee time at 10:10. went to check in and they would not except the Groupon certificate saying it had to be used after 11: am, so after some arguing they accepted it but charged use another $25.00. when we teed off, we found they had just over seeded the greens so you could not put, they had not blown any leaves off the course so spent much wasted time hunting balls and they was patching course cart paths had to play around machinery on many holes. I understand the maintains to the course, but they could let you know. AND THE SAD PART WAS THEY HAD TO GETT THAT OTHER $25;00 I believe under the conditions of the course $70:00 was plenty for that day.

First of all I would like to say the course is in great shape and it’s a great course to play. Challenging but not to hard.
I have played this course at least twice a year and more for the last 3-4 years, each time I have played the pace of play is terrible plus slower groups won’t let fastergroups through. No Ranger or anyone on the course to keep groups moving. Very frustrating to go there, we have one more chance to play there this summer and if it don’t improve it will be my last. Wake up Old Capital.

PROS:
...I thought this was a very scenic course with a surprising amount of elevation change for a course that meanders back and forth along creeks and with many of the tee shots and approach shots over the scenic creeks.
...The dormant bermuda fairways were in pretty good shape. The rough was was also in good shape.
...The bent grass greens were very large and in perfect shape (played hard and fast).
...Holes #9 and #18 have very difficult greens with a lot of tiers and slopes in them. If you have not played the course before, take a look at them before you tee off.
...Nice bunkering.
...The cart path was mostly okay, a few spots with pot holes in them in a few spots with gravel.
...Nice halfway house with a Coke machine and warm bathrooms.
...We played on a rain threatening day and we were the only ones on the course for most of our round.
CONS:
...The bridges were scary – just wider than the golf cart.
...Maybe this was just the way I was reading the greens and shouldn't actually be a con: The greens appeared fairly flat but are hard to read; what I read as flat might break a foot and what I read as breaking 6 inches may go dead straight.
...The bunkers had not been maintained due to the recent rains. Most of the bunkers are flat and they are very difficult if not impossible to see on many tee shots and most approach shots.

What are the daily rates and do they have a senior rate?

I always use a groupon so I can’t tell you what the rates are. If you go play be ready for a long day.
