This place is very well organized. Tarsiers live in freedom area and every morning are found a couple of them to be able to show them to visitors. Local people take care about tarsiers and this is not like a zoo on another place in...More

Seeing Tarsiers is one of the things most people that travel to Bohol wish to see. It was fascinating to see the worlds smallest primate but I felt quite sorry for the poor creatures being a spectacle for loud, annoying tourists who cant follow instructions...More

This Sanctuary is the place to meet the tarsiers, wonderful and strange creatures; much better than the other 'conservation' place for these endangered species (we passed by it during our island tour and were distressed to see the number of visitors spilling out of vans...More

This place has been recommended by the Lonely Planet because they say the Tarsiers are cared better and stressed less than in the Loboc center. When visiting, you have to be respectful with them, no talking loud is permitted and photos are allowed only without...More

This sanctuary is just what is says, a place where the tarsiers are kept in the wild habitat and not in cages or other artificial imprisonment. Founded by a Filipino this place permits one to view tarsiers in the wild. No bigger than a clenched...More

While we enjoyed watching the tasiers in their natural setting, we found the set up quite intrusive on the animal. Cameras were being shoved inches from their faces, the guide herself was speaking loudly despite posters of 'keep silent'. That was very sad. Thia sanctuary...More

It was great to see the Philippine Tarsier in their habitat. The Tarsier only exists on a few islands in the world so to see them was an awesome sight. They are a nocturnal primate and enjoy being alone so most of them were sleeping....More

Absolutely loved visiting the Tarsier Sanctuary in Corella. If you ever find yourself in Bohol wanting to see these guys make sure you go to this sanctuary; the majority of the others keep the tarsiers in cages and give them to people to hold/play with,...More

There are plenty of tarsier places, but this is a sanctuary. Choose this over those other places. You need to stay quiet, put your phone on silent mode, remove the flash on your camera. You will see per person that is near the tree where...More

Don't expect too much when going here. You will see a series of tarsiers hugging trees near to the footpath, some sleeping and others awake. Each is watched by a guide who will have located the tarsier early in the morning. Compared to other animal...More

Easiest would be to rent a scooter and head there, about an easy 30 min ride. Combine that with Chocolate hills, Bohol and Man made forests, you can spend a day.

Both sights you mentioned are in Bohol. The tarsier sancturary is not that far away from Tagbilaran (20-25 minutes?), but you will have to hire a driver to take you there anyway. Chocolate Hills are little further into the... More

There are several ferry companies that run between Cebu and Bohol. I used the SuperCat ferry that runs three times per day, each way (nice, comfortable fast ferry). The journey takes 2 hours to the Tagbilaran ferry... More
