Went for a day hike woth some family and children. Could not find a trail longer than 100 feet that took you from a grassy knoll to the boat launch. Disappointed. Looked nice in pics. The bathrooms are less than to be desired. Need a...More

We stayed in site 84 which wasn't bad compared to some others. We like the secluded areas when we camp and this site was ok. Site 83 was tucked more into the woods and one we would have enjoyed more. Many of the sites are...More

Boat Dock, hiking trails, camp sites, all along the Illinois river, 5 miles from Ottawa, IL, 10 miles from Starved Rock State Park. Great place to spend a week and explore a great area of the state.

We came over from Indiana for a few days to check out Starved Rock and Chicago Zip. This campground was the perfect location and so affordable. Apparently in Illinois you don't have to pay to enter a state park so our stay ended up being...More

Camped here recently because Starved Rock campgrounds were full. Came here with my seven year old son. Campsites offer full shade moderate level of privacy. They are close together. Fishing is very accessible. This would be worth checking out if starved rock campsite was full...More
