This is a great place to stop and walk around. There are a couple telescopes you can use to view the countryside. The area is well maintained. It would be really colorful in the fall.

We took the drive up here after we got tired of shopping - so glad we did. It is absolutely lovely - a beautiful view of Galena and surrounding area from above the tree tops.

This is such a pretty, well kept place to go when you want to get away from town. It's very peaceful. There are pictures showing you where you are and what you are looking out across the valleys. The views are amazing. There are also...More

Take it very easy climbing the washboard gravel road to the peak, but it's worth it once you're there. On a clear day the views are spectacular!

This was my favorite local spot. The view was so amazing and it was just so relaxing listening to the birds and watching the world go by.

Beautiful and historic. Stop, even for just a moment, to enjoy the breathtaking views. So glad we did! The neat landscape and background on the “driftless” regions are worth the time!

This is a bit off the beaten path up a narrow dirt road but totally worth the trip up. The view is incredible and I had a cool clear day to enjoy it fully. There are several signs that tell you about the local geography....More

I wasn't aware of a chapel, but your question peaked my interest! I found (I think) what you are referring to. Check out Sinsinawa Mound - it's not far from Galena. And now I want to check it out next time we are in the... More

We were there 10/10. Not allot of color. Mainly yellows and green. Would expect weekend of 10/23 or this weekend to be in full color.
