A true disappointment. You walk a few hundred meters to reach a cave. No view. Not a big cave and not Much to see there. They have pleasant concerts with a large wood fire outside. Good because the cave is cool !

Like most things in Bamberg, the tour is in German, tho not a problem if you speak the language, tho the guide does have a slight Franconian accent, making it a bit more difficult. The stalagmites were few, but the one large one was cool....More

We did the Sophienhohle at night cave tour and felt pretty ripped off. It's a very small cave, and you should plan to spend about 20 minutes, at max about 30 walking around inside.

Cool cave with colourful drip formations. Good guide, who gave both historic and science perspectives on the cave's appearance.

with light shows ect, our excursion guide told a story about the cave- it gave a real historical taste :)
