In Chicago for business. Loved visiting this church today for Ash Wednesday. It was even warm enough for me to walk back to work.
I did not expect to see this massive church in the middle of the city. It really stands out compared to the surrounding buildings. I like how they kept this authentic look and it is something you will notice, when walking down the block.
fine look on the street it is. I have not qiite expected to this in downtown Chicago. Though i am not religious, i am quite impressed
Four of us went to the 11 AM mass on Sunday. It seemed to be run by Franciscans who were very warm and welcoming. It was a rather traditional liturgy and the cantor was very helpful in helping us participate.
The stunning architecture stands out in Chicago's financial district. Worth a visit if you are in the area.
