Review of: Chicago River Kayak Tour
The sunset paddle downtown was such a lovely experience. I went with six other friends and we all had an amazing time. We all live in chicago and have been on things like the architecture tour many times but being on the river in a kayak at sunset was a very special perspective. The guides were super helpful and knowledgeable, the downtown scenery was amazing, and the pace was not too strenuous as to get tired out. Plus it’s central location makes it great to go to the west loop or river north for drinks or dinner after. 10/10 would recommend for a fun and unique night out with friends.…

The staff is great, the experience was AMAZING! I de fine you recommend the sunset tour, you’ll get to see Chicago downtown with natural light and then which is beautiful but even more impressive when it gets dark and you’re paddling with lights of the buildings! Very well organized by the pleasant staff - especially given that there were so many of us on the water at the same time and so much boat traffic to navigate around. Very cool way to see the buildings at sunset. It's also an easy and affordable way to experience kayaking in still water. Allow extra time to find the dock - Google Maps took me in circles. Really enjoyed the sunset kayak tour led by O’Riley. He pointed out more interesting parts of the shoreline that I could paddle through and he was very knowledgeable of Chicago’s history and architecture.
