The Lookingglass Theatre Company seeks to redefine the limits of theatrical experience and to make theatre exhilarating, inspirational, and accessible to all.Through theatre, which invites, even demands, interaction with its audience, the company's goal is to fire the imagination with love, to celebrate the human capacity to taste and smell, weep and laugh, create and destroy, and wake up where we first fell --- changed, charged and empowered.

I love how small and quaint this theatre is but the show is not! All seats are good and I’m still not sure which ones really had an obstructed view.

This theatre is small but gives a huge delivery. The cast are so close that you feel the characters emotions. The set design was outstanding. I will come again.

While visiting Chicago, we had the opportunity to see a few shows. In addition to seeing a few big shows, we wanted to see something different from our ordinary theater experiences. After reading the description of the Lookingglass Theatre's approach, we decided to give 20,000...More

As always the play was excellent. Any time we visit Chicago we make a point of booking a show at the Lookingglass. Well worth it.

Not really up to the high standards of this group. We found the acting dull, the dialog flat and not of interest, thus our time dragged. The set was nice, but under used, the lighting, okay, but no big deal. Costumes seemed to be the...More

We recently saw 20000 Leagues Under the Sea. Amazing staging in this theater where every seat is a good one. The acting was outstanding. Tremendous amounts of action with men and women flying up into the air on trapezes and ropes. This is a fun...More

Chicago's local theater scene is pretty great and you can't miss being entertained by any of Looking Glass Theater productions. The are clever, whimsical and innovative. Also located in the original Water Tower that was not burned during the Chicago Fire. Very cool to see...More

My husband and I have seen 4 different plays at the Lookingglass Theater, and each of them has been highly enjoyable. The productions always have innovative set design, some acrobatic elements, highly competent actors, and thought-provoking stories. Additionally, the theater is smaller so it’s a...More

Spent a great dinner and show at Lookingglass to see 20,000 Leagues Under the Seas. The tickets got us discounted parking for $16 instead of the $31 expected and 15% off dinner at a nearby restaurant. An overall great evening with out of town family.
