We visited the chriskindle (sp?) market. It was fun but PACKED even on a Wednesday morning. Be prepared to stand in line for the ornament shops.

This was so fun to visit! It was packed with people but my wife and I still enjoyed it. It might be a little hard to take a whole family with small kids but it was fine with just the two of us. The lights...More

Went midday to the Christkindle market. The booths selling ornaments were jam packed! Had some hot candied almonds and cashews-yum! They have all sorts of German foods and drinks.

This was something really neat I was looking forward to on my recent visit to Chicago. Just entirely too many people crammed in a small space. This market needs about 5 times the space to make it usable by the masses. I feel bad for...More

The Christkindle Market is set up just for the Christmas season and it is worth the trip. We went to see it while on the Holiday Lights Trolley Tour so we avoided having to park. The German good and beer are authentic and the food...More

The sheer number of people in this confined area is 110% against EVERY fire code. If you were short, plan on getting crushed. I am 6'1 and could see over the crowd. It was actually shoulder-to-shoulder shuffling and super-duper packed. It was the 2nd weekend...More

I go to Christkindlmarket every year. There are so many wonderful vendors there! I purchased two Advent calendars and some great toys for the kids here. I also bought some great tasting apple cider donuts.

A little bit of olde world Germany in Chicago. Visited on a Saturday afternoon and it was packed. It was very difficult to make your way through the crowds. But there were plenty of vendors selling ornaments, cuckoo clocks and other stuff. They have all...More

Often visitors' first stop in Chicago, The Loop is a
good starting point to sample the city's energy and
flavor. This central business district boasts
Michelin-rated restaurants, upscale hotels, premier
shopping, and enough arresting architecture to keep
your camera busy for hours. You won’t find too many
photo galleries of downtown Chicago without a shot of
Millennium Park and Cloud Gate (“The Bean”), one of

Yes, dogs are allowed in the outside area of the market, as long as they are on a leash. Dogs are not permitted in our inside areas such as the warming tent, Timber House or any walk-in vendor booths.
