Love this place. Old, great bartenders, lots of stuff to look at. Fair price for beer. Can't go wrong. Only thing it's a smoking bar. For us that is a bummer. But we did enjoy and would like to go back.
No frills, but totally worth the visit. Sinatra music playing and a staff member singing along. Cigarette smoke and cheap beers with an old fashioned wooden bar to lean on, tin ceilings and a old school atmosphere. Archie Bunker would love it!
What can you really say, other than this is a dive the way dives should be. If I lived in Chicago - this would be "my bar". From the look of the bar front outside, to the cigarettes behind the bar - it could not...More
This is a real Chicagoan dive bar. Despite being an avid anti- smoker I had to smile while stifling a cough, when I saw the cigarettes for sale behind the bar in Richard's Bar. They were cheekily placed beside a government notice about the illegality...More
When you walk in, the first thing you see is a beautiful wooden bar. The place is not big, but reminds you of the olds days in Chicago. There are pictures of old movie stars, athletes, and politicians. You expect Al Capone to walk in....More

Richards bar is super cool! We were recommended to pop by this place by some locals. I was slightly apprehensive at first as we were told it was where the mafia drank! We walked Into Richards around 11pm and knew immediately that this was a...More
Fulton Market, Randolph Market, Jackson Boulevard and Greek Town make up the West Loop. The neighborhood is best known as the location of Oprah Winfrey’s Harpo Studios, but this downtown neighborhood is also an up-and-coming spot for Chicago’s trendsetters. Several sub-neighborhoods within West Loop make this a unique neighborhood to visit. Dotted with factories and warehouses, West Loop is packed with various types of
dining and nightlife options. If your timing is right, you can take part in neighborhood events like the West Loop Farmers Market, Craft Beer Fest, or the Randolph Street Market Festival.
