The beautiful Studebaker Theater was built in 1885 housing and selling the Studebaker carriage. The large picture windows in the front displayed the new vehicles which were produced on the 6th floor. I had to see this gem. Luckily, my professional ballerina daughter had a...More

The renovated theater in the Fine Arts Building is a gem. New seats, walls and balcony are perfectly executed. It captures the beauty of the original historic room. It is worth your time to stop in and take alook.

What an exceptional and visionary idea to regroup artists under one roof and have the idea run for a century. Seems to be a nice place to work in

During Open House Chicago we visited the Studebaker Theater within the Fine Arts Building. They have done a nice job with the restoration of the old Studebaker Theater. It is a smaller, more intimate space, which would make a nice venue to see a performance.

As I've said before, I love old buildings, and the Fine Arts Building is just a gorgeous piece of architecture. They just don't make grand buildings like this anymore. And that's really a shame.

I attended Roosevelt University Chicago when I was an undergraduate music student, so I visited the Fine Arts Building (right next door) almost on a daily basis (for choir rehearsals and to buy music scores from Performer's Music). As a student, I never really appreciated...More
