The ice arena is a great place to spend a cold winter (or fall, or spring) afternoon or evening. My sons (5 and 8) enjoy the rigorous activity and watching people slip sliding all over the place. This rink's size has been reduced but it...More

The Ice Arena is a great place to skate with friends. The ice is of great quality. Also, come to catch a Fighting Illini Hockey game!

Went ice skating with friends. First time ever! Got to play bloomball (or something like that) too. The place was really cold but what else would you expect from an Ice Arena.

Watched a philanthropic event that was a hockey game and enjoyed the atmosphere. Concessions were available.

This is a nice arena, for public there are special dates and time. This is why it becomes very crowded sometimes.

We've skated at the Illnini Arena many times over the years. Mostly we go at lunch when we are already on campus as otherwise parking could get crazy. The rental is CHEAP compared to anywhere else you go.

Its a fantastic place....one can skate here, they provide you the skates/gear, very friendly and helpful people. You don't need to know how to skate to try this.

I highly recommend seeing an Illini Hockey game here. It is also a fun family event to come during free skate hours. They don't make arenas like this anymore. It's a piece of history.
