My husband and I ride bicycles together and this trail is one of our favorites. So many places to hop on the trail and start from. We usually start at the zoo. We enjoy seeing all the wildlife: deer, ducks, geese, squirrels, chipmunks, etc.

Uncrowded, the well maintained wide path winds through The Chicago Forest Preserve. You can forget that you are near an enormous metropolis and immerse yourself in nature, but you can always take a break for food or beer in the friendly, mid-American, towns and villages...More

Very nice path through the forest preserves that is great for biking, walking, even jogging. There are mile markers if you are looking to go a specific distance too.

This popular trail is near my home and a treat to walk or ride my bike. For me, I prefer earlier in the day when it is not as crowded but it's just fine when throngs of dog walkers/bicyclists/runners/roller bladers/walkers are there sharing the trail...More

Salt Creek and salt trail are excellent nature excursions. Easily accessed, we'll marked trail. Kayaking is a little.more difficult for entry and exit. But the wife and I always see plenty of deer, birds, beavers and other small critters.

Very nice little walking trail. When I was here, it was very well maintained and very enjoyable to stroll on this path.
