One of the best last minute decisions we've ever made. Great venues, particularly the Ewing estate/outdoor theatre; high production values; stellar performances from actors (equity and non) drawn from nationwide casting. Helpful, friendly staff (mostly students, many from nearby ISU or interns from across the...More

This is such a beautiful venue. It’s like you’ve been transported back in time. Enjoy the gardens and mansion or take in the show at Shakespeare Fest and you won’t be disappointed. It can be HOT during the summer months so plan accordingly.

I have had season tickets for the Illinois Shakespeare Festival for many years. The whole experience is amazing, from the green show, to the picnic in the courtyard (with jazz music), to the wonderful selection of Shakespeare and related plays. The actors are first rate!

Wonderful production at the marvelous historic Ewing Center amphitheater. The actors were excellent; the costumes and set design were clever. The production overall was very engaging and enjoyable. Plus the weather cooperated and made it a perfect evening outdoors!
