The presentation and explanation of what goes on in this place is superb, so much so that this old English major could understand a goodly share of the science of it all.

My two sons who are in high school are considering a career in physics. Both really enjoyed the tour. Beautiful campus. Lots of info.

The nature conservatory and Buffalo pasture is great to see! If you bike, there are great trails. Fall is a great time to visit

An absolutely must see experience. Unlike other countries anyone can enter and look around the property. Many displays showing the type of research being done here.

I have been riding in Fermilab for many years. The advantages are that there are very few cars, except around 8am and 5pm. The roads are good and it is nice scenery. The disadvantages are it always seems to be windy and it is only...More

To further clarify what Anna G said, when driving onto the site you just need to show your driver's license at the gate. If you bike or walk onto the site, there is no check in.

Not on site. However, the Fairfield Suites in Geneva may be a good option for your needs. You may also look in Aurora or Batavia.
