I was excited to visit Stanley Lake because I had seen photos that made it look so beautiful and serene, but when we visited on a Wednesday in July it was anything but peaceful. It was very crowded, and people had set up their campsites...More

Stanley lake is a great place to simply enjoy a picnic table and watch the local bald eagle or go for a long hike. We took a path back to Ladyface Falls and while we couldn't see the Falls directly, the pounding water was quite...More

The lake was lovely and there are several trails for biking and hiking around the lake. There is also a small sandy beach next to one of the campgrounds that was very nice.

We came in around 6:00 and were lucky enough to be led to the last available campsite right on the edge of the lake, with the mountains as a backdrop. After a long hot day of motorcycle touring this was a perfect spot to put...More

We kayaked around Stanley Lake and had a great time. The lake is clear and clean. It was not too windy so it was easy paddling. Beautiful view of the Sawtooth Mountains from everywhere on the lake.

We spent the afternoon kayaking on beautiful Stanley Lake. It isn't as big nor as busy as Redfish; more fishermen, kayaks, etc., Just our style. You get an up close view of Sawtooth Mountains, too.

This is a beautiful high mountain lake that is less populated than say Redfish. It is pristine and has a nice observation point provided in someone's memory. It was very nice.

We were mostly there in the evening and they were bad. We were there 2 weeks ago and the water is still pretty high and areas are flooded so there were a lot of mosquitos.
