We were interested in this site because of the night time photos of the Milky Way with the mountain backdrop. The view here did not disappoint (day or night) and the lake is very quiet compared to nearby Redfish. The town center for Stanley is...More

This is a lovely lake. The area around it is involved in a good amount of logging and the roads are pretty torn up. Hopefully the end result will be an improvement to the area!!!

The lake was lovely and there are several trails for biking and hiking around the lake. There is also a small sandy beach next to one of the campgrounds that was very nice.

We were mostly there in the evening and they were bad. We were there 2 weeks ago and the water is still pretty high and areas are flooded so there were a lot of mosquitos.
