Cave was big enough that my husband, who has a tendency toward claustrophobia, was comfortable. Minimal stalagmites and stalactites, although examples of many forms (bacon, soda straw, columns, etc.). Many were damaged before it was protected. Lots and lots of steps up and down (888...More

We had a lot of fun visiting Minnetonka Caves. The guides were great and we were able to go down into the caves. There is a bit of hiking associated with the caves, but it is well worth going around and seeing all the formations....More

We loved to spend one of the hottest days of summer inside the 40 degree cave. All the steps made for a good workout. Our guide DJ did a great job explaining all the cave features and keeping us entertained. Unique experience!

The cave is a great visit on a hot day, and just a short drive from Bear Lake. If you've been in other caves, it's pretty much the same spiel, but it's still worth seeing. Just remember, you can't wear anything that you've worn in...More

It is only a short drive up a beautiful canyon, 10 miles on an improved road. They recommend a sweatshirt or light jacket for the cool 40' temperature. Parking is tight, RV beware. And there are over 400 stairs throughout, with reststops. These stops provide...More
