We stopped here to tour the Ft. Hall replica. It is open-air, so you want to go there when the weather is nice. The museum is small, but interesting.

As a new resident of Pocatello, I prefer to know the city a little more before I can talk about Pocatello to my friends. So that's why I went to the BCHM. It is quite small but informative. The replica of Fort Hall and the...More

The exhibits outside the "museum"jbuilding outshone it. The for replica was really interesting with a peasant guide. The different attached buildings were full of exhibits of hte time. THey are still buikding the replica of early pocatello.

The fort was the best part of the museum and our kids could have stayed and played for hours. There was a faux city being built along a boardwalk--will be nice to see it completed on our next visit.

The museum is a worthwhile visit even though it is very similar to many others in this part of the country. A few unusual rooms ,however, are especially good, particularly the history of newspaper printing, the Native American collection with fantastic bead work, the Fire...More

This is a hidden gem coupled with the Fort Hall Replica. Pay to go to both at museum. Bookstore in each and run by different agencies. My grand teens were interested in the many exhibits to my delight.

There are various areas devoted to a certain theme. These are changed as new items are given to the museum. Most tell a story of years gone by. Very interesting!
