Owner was friendly. It has lots of cool little things from that point in history. Tells the story of what happened as well. It's a neat spot.

Back in our history Butch Cassidy robbed this bank and got away with a good sum of money. The owners have preserved some of the histories and it has a small gift shop. A fun place to stop if you want to stretch your legs...More

Due to our tour group being less than 25 we stopped here at this little museum. It was lovely and the owners took great pleasure in talking about the historical pieces inside. If you're in the neighbourhood it's worth going to. It won't take you...More

App says they are open. They are not. Guy who answered phone said they are closed for the season. Please update the hours correctly.

The Bank of Montpelier was made famous by Butch Cassidy relieving it of its funds. Cokeville, WY ran him out of town and 35 miles later. voile, he "visited" Montpelier.

Great little museum. Butch Cassidy Day is August 13th. Reenactment of the bank robbery at 3:00 pm. Also having Dutch oven and BBQ cook off. Benders are going to be set up and down the street.

There isn't much of a museum The building itself is what makes this interesting. It is the last remaining bank robbed by Butch and the boys. It does make a nice photo stop and a piece of history that is still standing.

Super nice staff and very well advertised, but there just isn't too much to see. Free to get in, there is only about 10 minutes worth of reason to stop. The story is a simple one, perhaps as the museum grows they will add more...More
