We stopped in Coeur d’Alene as a one day stop over coming from Glacier National Park and one day does not do this area justice. Great little town, great food, people and the scenery was fantastic.

Higgins Point never disappoints, from the great hiking trails, to searching for Bald Eagles, we always find some hiding in the trees.

This pristine lake sits on the edge of the beautiful town. With ample facilities and several local businesses taking advantage of services for or around the lake it's a beautiful destination.

Yes the beach is free There are parking lots where you pay. Or just park on the street for free, 2 hour limit in close. Or go about four blocks away for free all day. We drive a 33foot motorhome so go 4 blocks away.

Take the low trail to the west around tubs hill. You will find a beach at the southern most point. This location is nearby downtown CDA.
