It's been many years since I rode through here on the train as a boy. We used to take trips often as my dad worked for Union Pacific. Beautiful restoration of the station and surrounding area. A great view of downtown Boise.

It was raining when we went, and we had the place to ourselves. The guide there was great; took us up the elevator into the bell area. Lots of original stuff inside building. The grounds are exquisite. GO!

Lovely architecture and well maintained gardens and water areas were quite nice to see. It didn’t take a lot of time to tour.

Renewed my imagination of Boise’s glorious past by visiting the train station. Nicely preserved space, complete with a huge steam engine which has seen lots of actions in the past. The station premises is atop a hill, which also gives a beautiful view of the...More

This is a beautiful old building that closed as a train station in 1998. There is a bell tower open to tours, displays of train memorabilia as well as silver settings. There is a perfect area for a bar. There is space upstairs for the...More

Although the weather turned to rain, the storm passed and the wedding was wonderful. The reception was also there. A historical building with good history and a bell tower which opens at 5:30pm. A neat place for a wedding.

Hiked up to this great view and beautiful garden and waterfall. Wished there wasn't a private event going on, but then it was BSU and prom weekend in town.

It was no surprise that there were many couples having their prom pictures taken on the grounds. It's a beautiful setting for photos. In one direction there are flowers and the restored depot. In the other direction there are the mountains and the Capitol. It...More

If you are at all interested in trains or historic buildings, this is a great stop. It doesn't have a particularly extensive collection of things, but what's there is presented well and really puts the place into historical perspective. You should be able to see...More
