We drove around Tybee Island to explore the beach houses, beaches, and town amenities. It looks like a great summer-fun place for families and making great memories!! It’s about 20 minute drive from historic Savannah.... an easy drive with lovely views of the marshes. Lovely!

I found Tybee Island to be a quaint little town with clean streets, friendly locals, and gorgeous views. The trip to the lighthouse is a must for any visitor. The history is fascinating. The beach was clean and not densely populated. The pier was very...More

Walking on this beach is always enjoyable because of the very few people. We go to watch the birds and hope to see container ships go past.

The northern-most extension of the North Beach is the Savannah River Beach. Calm (little to no waves) is fun for relaxing and less crowds make for a fun day! And you will see dozens upon dozens of dolphins day in and day out from here.

Few people, dolphins swimming by, not many waves and fun watching the ships come and go. If you want to party, this isn't the beach...head south for that.

If you want an authentic Tybee Beach experience, this is the beach for you. Limited access, never crowded, and excellent views of ships passing through the Savannah port.

I was surprised at how wide and nice this beach was...and how many people were NOT on it. I think we saw maybe twenty people total, as we rode our bikes along the waterline on the hard-packed sand. The water is calm, and it is...More

What you will love is watching the boats, pelicans, dolphins on the river and the SAND is easy to walk on. This was never crowded and perfect for sunrise and sunset. Very peaceful.
