one of the most liberating and breathtaking experiences, is when you reach the top of this mountain! Very stunning views all around. definitely put on your sturdiest sneakers (preferably with some grip at the bottom) because some of the stones can be a little slippery . Bring water and towel too, because you WILL sweat. Overall very nice, I cant wait to come back and explore more of the park

We stopped at stone mountain on our way to the Ashville. We enjoyed our ride to the top of the mountain on the skylift. We watched the 2 movies at the museum toured the 2nd floor of the museum. We went across the road to the historic square where we toured very old buildings and homes. We were very fortunate to meet Joey who works there and got a wonderful guided personal tour. He was very knowledgeable and informative about all of the buildings. Luckily I had called ahead and found out that the museum and historic Square were open. It stated on the website that the skylift was the only thing open. Unfortunately the people in the ticket office were not selling the historic pass that included the 3 areas to tour skylift, museum and historic Square. We shared the information with others that day so they upgraded their tickets. So make sure if things are open get the historic pass!!! This is a very informative and interesting pace to visit to learn about history!!!

So we are on vacation at Stone Mountain Park and visiting my parents. There's a dinosaur exhibit in the park we wanted to show my son, Charlie. Dinosaurs are his favorite. As we walked up we were greeted by Kris. Kris saw me sign "dinosaur " to Charlie and immediately switched gears and started to communicate via ASL to him. Let me tell you our hearts melted. Kris took the time to ask Charlie about his favorite dinosaur and learn a little more about him. As we were leaving we stayed for the dinosaur "meet and greet". We were shocked to the core when Makayla and Sam Raptis came out and asked if we were with Charlie, and signed his name. During the meet and greet Kris and Makayla were signing for us as much as they knew. Even afterwards they followed us to learn more and communicate with Charlie. This experience is our absolute favorite part of our vacation. My older children enjoyed the experience but for a mostly deaf 3 year old with a love for Dinosaurs, this experience was pure magic. Thank you Stone Mountain Park, Kris, and Makayla for this experience. We look forward to coming back!

Th skyline is amazing. The only issue is that there are no signs to indicate where to go if you are VIP or not. In my opinion VIP would not be worth it. All it does is get you on the ride first. Then everyone else piles on.
The wristbands were excessive. About a 3 inch plastic band to go around your wrist and sweat all day.
There is a military discount most places inside the park if you ask for it.
I found it odd that nothing really opened up until noon on Saturday.
Train ride was just ok. We could not understand the guide.
4D theater was fun.
Oh and the telescopes at the top of stone mountain were all broken.
The Lazer show got canceled due to a storm and no refund was given.

Visited Stone Mountain on 8/6/22 and purchased the VIP lazer show tickets that include seating on terrrace, a Coca Cola beverage, and unlimited popcorn. As the day came the forecast was not good. Severe thunderstorms thought the night, but after checking tickets and seeing the show was RAIN OR SHINE we decided to brave the weather.

We arrived and found seating an hour before show time. No drinks being served, no popcorn being served. Then after sitting in the rain for an hour they CANCEL the show!

I asked for a refund as no show even though it was rain or shine and no drinks or popcorn as advertised for the additional price. Then we were told no refunds and they could give a tickets that were good for a year.

I’m sorry but I’m not driving 7 hours back to Atlanta and paying $200 in gas to come back just for this experience. I witnessed them tell travelers from ENGLAND the same thing. Sure pay $800 plus for a ticket to come back to Stone Mountain lazer show from outside the country.

It’s highway robbery to not offer a refund for an experience that cost $20 for parking then $15 a ticket to enjoy and the Rain or shine show is cancelled without any of the extras(popcorn and drinks in this case.

Buyer beware.

This past Thursday I visited Stone Mountain Park. I arrived there at 2PM. Parking fee was $20 😂. I purchased a half price ticket on line and I added the laser show ticket for $5. Many of the attractions and food vendors were not open that day. I got a chicken sandwich, fries and a soda at the Big Rock Cafe for $15 😂. I did enjoy the Tram and train ride. The exhibit on how the stone carving was accomplished was interesting. I left early as I needed some real food and I could not see walking around for 3.5 hours to see the laser show was worth it—extremely hot, boring and rain clouds were coming. Would I go back again? NO!

Property maintenance was terrible with trees and limbs growing over monuments. There was NO MUSEUM available and much of the park had construction/restricted barriers that made it impossible to walk around. Ride to the top and view off of the mountain were excellent. Sculpture is amazing. Areas with missing displays should have new installations/displays, not markers describing what used to be there!

Fantastic small climb... don't take the tram. The views and the work to get there will make it worth it. Great views of Atlanta and surrounding area. Bring water and watch the heat!

Our trip to Stone Park was just OK.
We arrived in the afternoon (4pm) and many attractions and shops were closed. We enjoyed the sky ride to the top of the mountain but the rest of the attractions included in our package of $35 per person were not worth the price.
