There are few places in the United States that have retained their link to the past as Coweta County and Newnan, Georgia have. From the settlement of the town in 1828 to the new millennium, Newnan has kept the heart of Coweta beating with a firm grasp on its rich and colorful history, while looking forward and embracing the future.

best stores is an old record shop and comic book store with old toys to bring back memories. The courthouse is amazing to look at and you can picture the movies being made there.

Dog-friendly. A great place to do a restaurant crawl. This square supports it's music scene better than most. Arts are front and center and smiles are easy to come by.

Friends suggested Newnan as a great place to spend a few days. Several really fun restaurants and we enjoyed walking around looking at many beautifully restored craftsman and Victorian homes just off the main square. Quaint, beautiful place.

Although we wanted to walk around this interesting looking area, the weather and our schedule did not cooperate. It seemed like there were a lot of places we would enjoy. Next time!
