Several paths, some shared with bicycles. Heavily wooded with varying terrain, from relatively steep to flat. Lots of tree roots and eroded areas, so watch where you walk. A great area to hike on windy or especially sunny days because the trees will moderate both.

Lovely trail with varied terrain. Small lake and nice creek with big boulders for relaxing in the sun. Connects to a flat trail that goes along the Chattahoochee River. There are bike trails and walking trails. Feels like you are in the mountains not in...More

I was blessed enough to have grown up in a neighborhood that actually backs up to the Sope Creek Trail. But even if I didn't live so close, I would have made a pretty decent drive just to come hike these trails. You are never...More

Love these trails. They have really grown over the years to many trails for kids, adults, bikers, etc. Beautiful park, nice pond and connects to a longer trail that is flat.

Sope Creek is a refreshing get away amidst the hustle of Atlanta. As you walk the trail and view the remnants of the old soap factory and the beautiful cascades creating the flow of water that feeds into the Chattahoochee River. The forest makes you...More

Okay, it's been decades and two knee replacements since I last did any hiking and longer than that since climbing in the hills. And what is a ten minute drive from the mighty Chattahocee to the bridge over Soap Creek didn't seem impossible. But, two...More

Yes you can. But be aware - most dogs are way more interested in exploring the woods or the creek than staying on the trail. And on weekends, the trail gets crowded with people and pets. They will enjoy the secondary... More

I have to disagree with the yes votes. Soap Creek is known to rise quickly and unexpectedly. The dry rocks are suddenly slippery and if you don't know where to walk, you can get hurt. I've seen this happen twice.
