If in the area, this is a must see plantation for historical reasons. Half day activity with films, info and walking trails through the whole plantation full of houses, mills and other sites.

A great place to step back in time to learn about our early Ga. folk and how they lived. Vintage homes, barns and tools of the day.

We spent a delightful 2 hours here. Start with the documentary film and then walk the property. Each stop is well signed. It is fascinating learning about the Jarrell family over the generations. They were certainly hard working and entrepreneurial. Everything is preserved just as...More

Went here with my kids ages 4 and 7. It took us an hour to walk the plantation and see all the houses and structures on the property. The walk is a nice stroll, easy for kids, not strenuous but a little steep down hill...More
