This is a pretty Small, but neat cemetery. There is a sign that talks about the battle of Jonesboro. Most of the graves are unknown, which is sad, but interesting. Most of us are used to seeing headstones with names and mm/dd/yy birth and death...More

This is a beautiful and thought-provoking location. Of the 600-1,000 soldiers buried here, only a handful are identified. Most of them are re-interred from local battlefields. I definitely recommend a stop here.

The Confederate Cemetery honors the heroes who fought so hard to save Jonesboro, GA. during the Civil War. It is their final earthly resting place - peaceful and serene. Here one can reflect on what they did that we are thankful for and what we...More

Cemetery is located just north of the Jonesboro Train Depot and the Tara Museum located within. Cemetery was very close to my childhood home and I visited often. Very peaceful.

This is a confederate cemetery and is well taken care of. I went on Confederate Memorial Day. There were no special activities. It is separated from Main St. Jonesboro, GA by railroad tracks. There isn't much parking, but from the looks of it that is...More

This cemetery is well kept and many CSA soldiers are buried there. Peaceful area and worth a visit. Found a possible ancestor of mine buried in the cemetery only because the cemetery is well maintained.

Don't really know what to say, since it's a cemetery. But it's not JUST a cemetery. Besides that it's absolutely beautiful, it's also a very peaceful and powerful place. A great quick stop on our way back to Atlanta from visiting a few other historical...More
