Sawnee Mountain Preserve is a fantastic amenity right outside Cumming. There is a nice visitors/educational center. However we use the park for its trail system. Besides the Spot Road entrance, there are two entrances off of Bettis-Tribble Gap Road. Both sides have playground equipment, picnic...More

Great park for a day excursion for couples, families, or even a scout pack. Take a hike up the mountain, enjoy a picnic, or just take in the wonderful scenery and atmosphere. There is an old "indian seat" overlook at the top of the mountain!

There is a long hike and short hike but they both end at the same spot. The long side has a cool fort the kids can play in.

Definitely worth the hike to the top of the mountain as the view is beautiful. Once you get there, sit on the rocks and enjoy it.

Great spot to get a nice short hike in. Trail is shady by trees so it the temperature was nice even with the hot weather. Pretty lookout spot at the top.

NO PETS ALLOWED, which is an absolutely ridiculous rule. What kind of people agree to rules like this? Way to ruin an experience.

Hi. It is a hike to the view from the top. If you are going to do the walk, start from the parking lot on Tribble Gap Road, and not the visitor's center.
