Tough, but short hike to see gorgeous falls!

This is a challenging hike for beginners, but well worth the effort. We overshot the trailhead because GPS wasnt working and there was no one on the trail so no cars parked - so follow the road towards the fish hatchery (gravel and narrow, which is a little scarey when big trucks come the other way). When you get to the hairpin turn at the bridge, park before the bridge. The climb starts with a lot of brush to push through and at points you kind of lose the trail, but its there - just keep listening for the water, there are a few rapids but the falls are high enough to really make a roar. There are sections where you have to grab onto roots, parts where you climb over logs, and a few rock scrambles where its quite slippery with a steep drop below, so i would not reccomend this for small children. When you get to the falls its worth the last little scramble down to the flat rocks jutting out below. The falls and weeping rock walls above you are just gorgeous and you can feel the mist on your face! It takes about an hour roundtrip and you will get dirty - so woth it!

Nice Hike

short hike to falls, most of it uphill getting there. coming back, we ventured onto connector trails to bottom, which provided variety.
Spent about 15 mins at Falls, moving to 3 elevations for views.

Short fun hike to a big waterfall.

We got a little lost on where the actual waterfall was but ended up finding it in the end. The trail starts at a hairpin turn behind a bent over yellow and black striped sign which is pretty close to the fish hatchery in the area for anyone who is having trouble. I submitted a GPS pin drop where the trail begins.

A good natural hike

Even though it is only a 1.1 mile in/out hike to Little Rock Creek Falls it is well worth the hike. It is at the end of an undeveloped trail with lots of fallen trees you must go over, under or around. This is, however, what makes the short hike worth the trip. We looked hard and found only one very old white diamond blaze. If you stay next to the creek you can get there and back without a problem. I would strongly suggest long pants for this walk. If you should have a balance problem then skip this one. When you leave the hike take a short ride further down the road to the fish hatchery, it’s a good side trip especially if you have children. But…I would not suggest children under 4 for the hike.

Beautiful waterfall in Suches!

My husband and two 2-year olds hiked up to the falls. The trail is a little tricky to find. From hwy 60, take Rock Creek Rd. like you are going to the Fish Hatchery, there is a small bridge going over the creek in a tight hair pin curve - park at the bridge and the trail is on the left. If you get to Shady Grove Church, you’ve just missed it. The hike is fairy technical. My husband and I each carried a 20-25 lb toddler in a carrier on our backs, however, I would hesitate to do that again. The hike took us about 50 minutes round trip. It was so worth it! There were several fallen trees that you have to go under, over, or around and there are slippery rocks. I highly recommend good trail shoes. You can see the falls before you get there. You can feel the mist from the water - it’s great! It’s quite a hidden treasure! If you are nearby, it’s totally worth it.
