Kolomoki Mounds primary attraction is that of the archeological sites, the mounds, located in the park. We spent a couple hours visiting the museum and walking the grounds, finally being driven indoors by a steady rain and gusty winds. We also camped at the campground...More

We took the grandkids here last August . It had been two decades since we had seen Kolomoki and and were pleasantly surprised to see the improvements that had been made. The museum and tours were very interesting.

The visitor center staff was welcoming and informative. There is a short film before you view the site that gives lots of information about life at the mounds. Put your walking shoes on if you are going out to the mounds site to walk around....More
