Grassy Waters is a beautiful place to stroll on boardwalks above the marshes. Water birds, cranes, snakes and alligators can be seen in this peaceful environment part of the Everglades. Grassy Waters is also part of the aquifer for the region.

The Preserve has a nice, easy boardwalk trail where you can see different types of plants and trees and birds. It's free to enter, and there are clean restrooms.

Hi, I have never seen canoes there. A beautiful walkway on stilts leads all around the place. They don't want the wildlife disturbed.
