I'm a hiker, walker and love to fish. This Park is on Lake Tarpon, a fresh water lake, where sunnies and other fresh water fish are abundant. Yup-Huge Turtles, Gators and loads of shore birds abound. Lots of picnic tables on the water--come for lunch,...More

This is a beautifully designed park for privacy or playing with your dog at the included dog park. Launch a boat; walk about; have a picnic under the gorgeous old live oaks. Immerse yourself in nature & be renewed.

This park must be smoking hot in the summer. Hardly any shade and virtually no walking paths. Just the playground was good, but wide open with no cover. Plenty of other parks to stop at in the Tarpon area besides this one. Maybe just good...More

We moved the area 18 months ago after owning our condo for three years. We had been told of Anderson Park so we decided to visit and what we heard understated the beauty of this wonderful place on the shore of Tarpon Lake. A few...More

Stopped to see if we could find some gators, but no luck. Nice boardwalk and picnic sites, it is free and certainly worth a stop. I’m surprised by the size of the lake. A fisherman said there was a big gator that just swam by...More

Really good place for a stroller walk. No paved paths, good trails. Saw tons of animals, alligators and huge birds. Lots of open space and pretty to walk along the water.

As others have responded, there is a nice dog park, and leashed dogs are permitted in other areas of the park as well. Owners must take responsibility for "pooper scooping".

No fee, all free unless you're using the car park from where boats are launched as far as I remember.
