Visited on last day of March. Extra entrance fee because of blooming season, but there weren't a lot of blooms. Still, it's a lovely, quiet garden, a great escape from the city. Lots of young people/lovers and families visiting.

Absolutely beautiful! I arrived as the azaleas were beginning to bloom. Walk on the stone paths or grassy trails and discover hidden gems like the Secret garden or the reflection pool. Educational as well as relaxing.

We visited on our recent trip to Tallahassee, and took a walk in the Gardens and state park. The camellias and azaleas were pretty although I thought we would see more bulb flowers in bloom. The admission fee was $6 but worth it for a...More

Really enjoyed walking around the gardens and touring the house. Everything is in bloom now, and it was all beautiful. Every person that was working there, from the front gate on, was awesome! We totally enjoyed spending the afternoon there. Just a tip, there aren't...More

Considered a state park, this has a minimal fee or you can use your state park pass (I think our family pass was 100 or around that for one year of access to all state parks in FL). Entry into the park is standard with...More

We visited when the azaleas, camellias and magnolias were in bloom - it was absolutely beautiful! The carpet of pink magnolia petals around the mirror still pond was exceptional. The house, with many of the original furnishings, was also open and the docent was very...More

We enjoyed walking around these gardens at the end of January. We were warned that there wouldn't be much blooming because of the cold spell, but we were quite happy with the camellias. If you are from Canada, you will be impressed by anything blooming...More
