I loved the week I stayed here in a rental home. Very laid back island groove. Lots of bars and eateries. The beach there is nothing special but you can get on a free HOHO bus and ride the length of the island.

We have rented on Siesta Key for the last 5 years and one of the reasons is The Village. It is a quaint food and shopping area with no chain stores or restaurants. Lots of selections of food, entertainment and places to spend your money....More

It's pretty much your usual tourist gimmick. Save yourself a bunch of time, money, and Sanity and just go into Mainland Sarasota. There is no parking and the locals are extremely rude. I had some guy try to fight me because I was waiting for...More

Lots of shops and lots of good restaurants, as well as an ice cream shop or 2. Parking is at a premium so you may want to take the trolley. I also saw people going to the beach.

If you want cheap t-shirts and over-priced food, this has it! The only decent places are Meany's Mini-Donuts and the organic gelato cafe (excellent service for both, hence the two stars; they have their own reviews). I read the reviews before visiting the Village, and...More

I love this area (Gidgets Coastal Provisions is the BEST store there!) but the parking can be hard to come by.

Since we are locals (almost 50 years), we visit "The Key" off-season and leave it to the tourists during season. If you are staying near "The Village," you definitely do not need a car. Free, fun taxis and walking distances to a fantastic beach and...More

This is a nice town to walk through. It has some good places to eat and some cute shops. Not terribly overpriced either.

The village is really cute and we enjoyed eating breakfast at the Broken Egg every morning.. Love the little donuts too.

There is a very large parking lot at the public beach about 2 miles north of the main bridge, but get there early in season because it fills up quickly (or go late in the afternoon). There is also a small amount of street... More
