We have enjoyed our visits at this park. This visit our friends requested the grounds crew trim back the heavy vines and brush in their site. They did somewhat. With all the crews and the fees, I would expect that the grounds/sites would be in better condition. They also need a large and small dog parks. There is plenty of room.

There are so many trails to explore. Flat terrain which is perfect for bike riding. It is a little bit of a haul to the beach, but the tram makes it more easily accessible. They do have beach wheelchairs for those in need with wheelchairs to improve the beach accessibility.

This is a great place to avoid all the large crowds. This beach is clean, but it’s a long way to walk. The tram runs every half hour and it’s usually really crowded. We will be back as many times as we can.

Always enjoy being at this state park. Our last day at the beach ( yesterday ) the algae rolled in so that was disconcerting but the rest of the days here it was great! We saw turtles released in the ocean and later saw a manatee, a stingray, and a shark. One morning saw a dolphin as well.

Excellent park! Utterly beautiful marbled-sand beach with good views over the dunes. Plenty of trails winding through forest, swamp, and scrub providing a quick index of what north Florida has to offer all in one place.

We stayed at the campground for the week and it was very nice. The beach is beautiful and clean with lots of sand dunes. Nice (mostly flat) bike trails.

Another wonderful almost two glorious weeks at this rv park. My perfect part of heaven right here on Earth. Great time and great weather while we were here. Already making plans to come back next year too.

We just finished up a two week stay in cabin 1029 - it was amazing. Clean, affordable, proximity to beach and tram service. The park was pristine!

We enjoyed the lake Campbell trail and the turpentine trail and to the beach! Beautiful dunes! Nice paved and hard packed trails.

Our group of 3 visited this park due to the fact that they rented bikes on the property. We did not actually stay at the camp site, but the staff we encountered were very polite & helpful. There was plenty of space for biking. Since I was the only one not biking, I took the tram to the beach. The tram drivers were very friendly & personable. The beach & the dunes were breathtaking! I took lots of pics.
I would definitely recommend visiting this park!

Staying at camp ground in March and have a few questions. Snorkeling : how far out from beach is it? Within swimming distance or do you need paddle board/kayak? Can you bring your own paddle board or are you required to rent? Are Golf carts allowed in park?

Snorkeling is good if the water is calm, if not (which is most of the time) the water is great fun with lots of waves. I saw both rentals and people coming in with boards. It is a long walk over the boardwalk to the beach, so bringing your own snorkeling gear and renting boards/kayaks might be easier. Some people had golf carts, but they are not allowed on the beach, you have to walk down over dunes on the bridge.

Can you drive a car from the RV campsite to Santa Rosa Beach

Not totally sure what you are asking. You cannot drive on the beach in this area of the panhandle. Topsail is located on 30A just where it junctions with US 98. Traveling east and west along the panhandle is very convenient and it is just west of Santa Rosa Beach. Hopes this answers your question. Enjoy.

Do they have fire rings on the camp site? If not can we bring one. That is how we are planning to cook.

While riding our bikes around the park, we rode down the street of cottages. It looks just like any paved street in suburbia, usa, with small, quaint cottages close to the road - some with screen porches. The entire street was sunlit, but shady, with many natural surrounding trees. If you reserve early and ask for adjacent cottages, hopefully the park will honor your request. In any case, you won't be disappointed. This area of the park is clean, safe, close to the beach, laundry, and a short bike ride to the kids amenities.
