Fun to walk along the water when there is a cool breeze in the evening. Lights in December are pretty at night. Just be careful of the panhandlers and be alert in the dark. Watch for traffic, people don't stop for pedestrians all the time.

We walked down this Avenue and didn't see anything of interest other than antique stores and other tourist sharing the side walk with people riding their bicycles. Would not go out of my way to see San Marco Avenue if I didn't have to.

When visiting St. Augustine, don't just walk down St. George St. Check out the side streets and even walk down San Marco Ave. They have some amazing local shops down there and you'll find some really neat things

So much to see or do as you travel along San Marco Avenue. We walked the length of it and travelled several time on the Red Tour Bus to several locations on and just off the avenue. There are some shops, antiques stores, bars and...More

San Marco street, colonial area, the historic fort and many more historic sites along the way made for a walk in early history of Florida to more modern days. San Augustine deserves to boast about being the oldest, continuous town in US. I loved the...More

I loved the shops and sights along San Marco. Staff was friendly. Wares were interesting without pressure to buy. Pleasant time well spent between historical tours and sightseeing.
