Though it was very windy, and the water was splashing up over the sides, there were lots of people enjoying the view and being outdoors. Located in a cool little village.

The park is adjacent to to the Safety Harbor Resort and Spa. There is room and a pavilion for group gatherings. There was a family reunion or sorts when I was there. Good place for kids and families to have some out door time.

Saw a family of manatee's frolicking near this pier! Excellent just watching them. There was a dolphin too, but I never saw it, too busy following the manatee's!

Safety Harbor, FL Pier and Park is a relaxing venue to host family and friends for any get-together. It is great place to amble on the pier and look for manatees during our “winter” months.

Part of the extensive park system of Safety Harbor. Pleasant diversion before or after dinner -- look at the sailboats, watch the fishermen, and in the fall/winter/spring probably even see a few manatee. Free parking.

While on the pier we saw manatee and dolphin and closer to shore we saw crabs. Lots of people fishing.

Boaters jump off and swim, water ski and wake board so the water is ok. It is very shallow unless you are out a good distance from the shore. There are some sandy spots at the waterfront park where you can enter the water... More

Redfish, mullet, some smaller grouper, drum, pompano, sea trout and catfish. You will want to stay off of the bottom to avoid the catfish if you can.
