The pier is currently under-going reconstruction and it will be beautiful when it's finished...right now the actual pier is closed. There is a new restaurant that they have built next to the pier entrance which recently opened. Although I have not eaten there, it looks...More

It will be great when it’s finished! I’m not sure when that will be but they are making progress daily. So if you want to fish from the pier this summer you’re outta luck.

The pier has been a Pompano Beach landmark for 54 years. It is currently undergoing a 15 million dollar reconstruction. When it reopens it will be four feet higher to make it storm resistant and 80% wider. Right now it is being demolished. The rebuilding...More

Yup, title says it all. If you are hoping to catch a few fish off the pier...forget it. Everything else in the area is open though, fun for the family and good to go.

What a great place to relax! I spend most of my days walking along the beach and enjoying the beautiful sights in Pompano. I make my way along the beach and end up at the Pompano Pier! Cant wait until it is open again!

I went to the pier to take sunrise photos, and found that it was closed due to construction. I admit that last year it was in need of repair,so I hope that by next season it will be complete.

if you stay at a hotel on the beach, it seemed to me you could walk all night. But you might just call the police stations there to ask em if there is a law. Also the pier was closed in the spring, so you might want to check... More

Sadly, the pier is now closed and is being torn down. The new pier is scheduled to be finished in late 2019, but who knows.... It also, in all likelihood, will no longer have free access.
