It is such a beautiful beach. I mainly wanted to go to the national park there and get my Passport book stamped - which I did! Nice Friday afternoon.

The white sands were beautiful! We walked around the end of the peninsula and enjoyed watching the Blue Angels practice overhead.

Perdido is smaller, less packed area. Same beautiful beaches. Farther from restaurants, activities, etc. but also much quieter and less crowded than Gulf Shores, Orange Beach or Pensacola Beach.

Many take advantage of the beautiful beaches as well as walking trails that are dog friendly. There is a small fee of $6.00 per person. Available parking and restrooms. Bring your own food or beverages. There are picnic tables on the one end.

Kind of exploring old haunts. Visited in January near sunset. No charge so we drove and walked on the beach. Windy but not cold. Very quiet and serene. Wonder whatthe crowds are like in Spring and Summer.

Great walking and views! No alligators on our visit, but enjoyed the looking. Surprised all bathrooms were locked!

Lots of space per visitor here. I'm not a fan of the crowds in Myrtle Beach and such, so this is a great antidote. Wide open sand beaches with not many visitors.

Clean, squeaky sand, lovely views. Pavilions are all connected by boardwalks and the bathrooms were kept clean too! I love visiting new state parks!

We live in Alabama but are close enough to the state line that we can drive across the state line on any given weekend. This gives us the chance to experience the beaches on a regular basis. Sometimes you want the hustle and bustle of...More

I’d go early in the morning. When is more important than where. Look around puddles of water, near any beach. We found them in front of our condo, but also in the state park.
