Beware of parking near Flagler ave! The parking area is not clearly marked. We parked there and went shopping for all of about 30 minutes. When I returned to the car to offload the gifts that we purchased, there was a ticket for $30.... we didn’t even know it was a pay to park lot as the signs are not well posted. I guess for NSB, it’s not enough for tourists to spend a ton of money there- they demand even more in parking fees...

Drove almost 45 minutes for parking and way over crowded. Not worth all the hype your better off going to a regular beach area no parking fees less people to deal with. This will be the last time I come here and waste my time.

Very touristy area for shopping. We heard Flagler Ave is the place to shop. Took a side trip there from Daytona Beach and we were not impressed. Flagler Ave has many small shops that we felt were over priced, didn't eat there either. The street is narrow as are the sidewalks. Parking is a problem too unless you pay!! In fact, we got a $35 ticket for where we parked..!! Guess we should have used a parking lot where you pay.

Nice view of the beach and people enjoying it. Interesting people watching and the vehicles driving onto the beach .. not sure how that worked as there were booths checking/taking $ to enter at the ramp. Near restaurants, shops, hotels/motels nearby. Wet our appetite to return and spend a night or two in the area.

Stood at bar for over 10 minutes , bartender ignored me. Then he went to other side of bar and served someone else… they really need a better system if your sitting at the outside view. Really wanted to like this place but I guess not.

I hope this doesn't end any time soon, but New Smyrna Beach has a Wine Walk along Flagler Avenue on the fourth Saturday of every month from 1p-7p. It is $25 for tickets to sample 20 wines, poured in a keepsake wine glass while you stroll along Flagler toward the beach. It doesn't get much better than that - sun, sand, shops, wine... :)

Parking is at a premium, so if you find a spot, grab it! Several nice blocks of wonderful shops and restaurants ! At the end of Flagler Avenue there is beach access by foot or by car. Lovely area!

This street could be awesome if the shops were upgraded. The shops are not nice very old vibe. The coffee shops and restaurants are the best part of the street.

Flagler avenue was the place to get ice-cream in the evening and stroll through all the shops, and art places during the day. The most unusual thing was the very large on deck shuffle board deck area that is used for competition and tournaments. The most enjoyable venue was The HUB. a place with lots of artists and things to see.

Can you rent the pavilions for a birthday party?
Written March 14, 2021
Yes. For a fee. You can also park nearby and not have to mess with it, yet if you want to drive on the beach you can. Note it only goes part way down New Smyrna Beach, I cannot recall where it stops yet the south part of the beach is closed to traffic.

The Hampton Inn to the Flagler Ave Park is a short walk about 7 to 10 minutes. It is east towards the ocean across from Breakers Burgers, best hamburger I have ever eaten. The park is to the right of the drive on beach access, nice place to sit and watch people and the ocean also covered.
