I've been to Holloway Park twice. There's a hiking trail, a couple of lakes and a long strip of mowed grass that has wheel stops to delineate parking spaces. It's an underused park which makes it great for sitting down in your lawn chair in...More

Went there with a group of geocachers. This is an old former phosphate mine that was minimally reclaimed by the owners. Has very interesting rolling terrain with lots of trees and nice vistas. Has enough shady areas, so not always in the blazing sun. Many...More

Southeast of Lakeland this land is owned by the Holloway family who turned it into a free nature park in 2010. A number of trails for walking and a lake with a mile long trail around it. We met Fred who oversees the place and...More

Live very close and had no idea this was here. Very neat place with fun trails. It is old mining area so lots of hills and other unexpected features. Would rate a 5 if bikes were allowed but I understand why they are not.

The course is marked well and well maintained. At times the grass is a little high (I have not seen it unmanageably high), and if run in the morning you will take in a good bit of water in the socks and shoes for the...More

Great running trails. Bikes not allowed. It's wooded and hilly and not at all like Florida. Bring bug spray and a camera.
