Shingle Creek is headwaters of the Everglades and was recently rated one of the top paddling trails in Florida. We rent single kayaks ($14/hr), 2-person (tandem) kayaks ($18/hr), canoes ($18/hr), and stand-up paddle boards ($18/hr). We also have guided eco-tours available. The natural setting surrounding our rustic-themed Paddling Center facility gives you a true feel of the rustic Florida landscape which includes adjacent hiking and biking trails. Picnic tables are onsite making this a great family or group event location. Our trained staff is friendly and provides new and novice paddlers the basic paddling skills to enjoy the exceptional natural beauty that is Shingle Creek. Special Programs available include Team Building Events and Education Programs for 3rd Grade and up. A fun and hands-on way to learn!

Lovely, Cypress-lined river. Saw much bird life, fish and an alligator or two. Calm, clear water ...perfect for a serene, kayaking tour.

In the bustle of all things commercial in Central Fl this is an unexpected experience full of beautiful scenery and nature. It is a quiet get away from the crowds at the theme parks.

We had a great time. Indeed when on the creek we were totally unaware of the busy place Orlando is. We kayaked past the tranquil alligators and even saw some baby ones. The light through the trees was awesome. And our guide was kind and...More

Participated in a cooperate retreat and the assistance of the employees was phenomenal. Steph, John, Tiki and Mark were an incredible help. They really helped to complete my outdoor adventure experience.

We toured unguided for 2 hours and it was wonderful. We saw 4 alligators, a bunch of turtles and a black snake. Alligators are fairly close to the kayak but did not threaten us. This was a self-guided trip through a jungle.

We rented single kayaks for 2 hrs and had an awesome time. It was relatively easy paddling but needed some navigation when the creek became narrow. We then went up the road to Shingle Creek paddling 2, where you can also rent canoes and kayaks,...More

Only noticed 1 other place you could get out going out to the north but didn’t see any picnic areas. If you are only having 2 hours in the boat just have your picnic at the end.

I have two grown children and two teenagers. I definitely would not take an 18month old on a kayak there. I would not take them on the walk there either unless they were in a back pack or sling. We came across two... More
