This 620 acre park is home to the state's second largest Live Oak tree that's estimated to be about 400 years old. A short walking trail that starts close to the park's ranger station allows you to get an even closer look. A canal connects the park to Lake Griffin, where visitors can enjoy boating, fishing and canoeing. Don't have your own boat? Don't worry, we rent them here! For only $6.00/hr you can explore the waterways via canoe or kayak. If you'd prefer to stay on land you can observe the park's wildlife while picnicking or strolling along the nature trail. If you need more than a day to explore a shady, full-facility campground is available. Please note, while there are places to swim close by, no swimming is allowed in the park.

This was a nice shady park with a nice playground. Our three year old is just learning his bike. He liked riding it here on some pathways, but he wouldn't have been able to do it if more people where there. The dock looked nice...More

This was our first trip to Lake Griffin State Park. The entry was nice, and the guard shack staff were friendly and helpful. The only road into and out of the campground is woefully narrow. It’s not big enough for a rig and a tow...More
