We went to this museum when we first move to Florida in 1995. It was ok then but has been improved so much that it is now a great little museum. It's all about the area and the first settlers.

They give you a introductory talk to get started, then you can look at the exhibits at your own pace. Take all the time you want. The information was very detailed. The best part was the old (1906 era, iirc) house on the property. It...More

local museums can be boring to outsiders, but this one isn't. It is beautifully done to interest both adults and children with interactive displays and dioramas. My husband said it was the most interesting attraction in the area. Cost was minimum.

Good personnel audio devices given to each of us. For seniors, it only cost $3 to get in and see the displays, which were very good. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Both my wife and I enjoyed the hour we spent there.

Very good presentation of St Lucie County history, through a series of rooms showing a specific time. Audio guides were used which were well scripted with a good overview of the material in each room. Very enjoyable for the whole family. Pete Peterson the docent...More

It’s taken us a long time to visit this museum but very glad we have. The museum is very well organised and takes you pretty much chronologically through the history of the area. Plenty to interest both adults and children and an excellent, though sometimes...More
