Overview
Lovers Key Adventures master naturalist guide, Stephen, expertly guides our guests through the mangrove canopied estuary explaining the importance of the southwest Florida eco-system. He finds wildlife and introduces our guests to the various birds, vegetation, dolphins, and manatees. This is one of the most unique experiences available in southwest Florida. Our guests often take advantage of the beaches and hiking trails offered inside the state park. There are many photo opportunities available to capture the memories of this incredible experience within the natural surroundings of the untouched Florida landscape. No tour is ever the same and many guests return year after year to enjoy Stephen's expertise and the beauty of Lovers Key.

Great way to kill a few hours! We booked a tour with Steven. He is very knowledgeable. He clearly loves what he does and is able to share his joy of the environment and wildlife with his tour guests. We were talking about what we learned all day after the tour. I was able to kayak at a leisurely pace while other more athletic people were able to speed ahead. Steven spoke loud enough that even the stragglers like myself in the back could hear and see what he was showing us. Steven was super friendly and offered to take group photos of anybody who wanted one, then sent the photos directly to us by text. We saw manatees as well as other wildlife such as birds and fish. The manatees came right up to us! I will definitely take this tour next year when we come down to Florida. I highly recommend Steven’s tour!

This tour was great! Steven was our guide (along with his perfect 13 year old beagle Bowser) and was so passionate about everything, it was honestly contagious. We were a little unlucky to start with on dolphin and manatee viewings, but on our way back in we saw a manatee and her baby. Then, Steven was kind enough to let us hang out in our kayaks for however long after the tour was officially over so we could explore/search for more manatees. And we were very successful! I think we ended up seeing 7 total, some of them who would swim right up to our kayak and just hang out with us while we all floated around. It was magical!

Stephen knows his stuff and has a personality that engages everyone. He keeps you listening, watching and enjoying every minute. We took friends who were visiting from ME and they said this was their favorite day in SW Florida. Would highly recommend this guide and tour. PS. So much fun to have Manatees playing right ne t to you!!!

First time kayakers. Stephen Denmark, our guide, was awesome! Explained the mangrove habitat, and saw some manatee.

Stephen Denmark was our tour guide. Well spoken and lots of great info about the area and the eco-system/wildlife. Two of us did SUP and the other two did the kayak. The area we were in was well-protected and a great area for even beginner/first time paddlers. Saw several manatees and a number of big birds (osprey/egrets). We had a great time! Thanks!!
