It's a pretty good place to enjoy with friends and family. However the optimum time of visit would be during winter so you can find water in the wadis too but anyway its an amazing adventure.

This is an absolute must visit! Take a good 4x4 for this trip - part of road to the canyon is off-road. Take a while on the Balcony walk, enjoy the views.. breathtaking!

Did the balcony walk with teenagers to abandoned village. Stunning scenery and well worth the effort. We did walk in early morning at about 8am which meant temperature was ok. Only downside was that sun was rising above canyon so could not get great photos....More

Majestic and with perfect light to the million of pictures. Getting there with a normal car (not a 4x4) is a bit challenging but feasible.

Lovely experience with an absolutely amazing nature and view. Well worth the drive from Muscat as you can stop at charming Nizwa and Misfath to make it a full day excursion.

Quite spectacular is probably an understatement. Such complex topography that it deserves to be taken in at leisure in different light at varied times of day. Walk the cliff ledge down to rock dwellings, pause frequently to just take it in. But wear good shoes...More

This is an amazing place and much cooler than Muscat. The Balcony walk is beautiful and if you go you need to do this.

Yes you can go by normal car, but keep in mind that about 7 km is unpaved gravel road , in good condition but steep. Not far from the resort starts one of the most beautiful walks ( W6 )of Oman .
