1st permanent school in the Everglades, designed by architect, August Geiger. The Old Davie School, built in 1918, is the oldest school building in Broward County and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The integrity of the early years has been preserved and the museum is chocked full of artifacts & history. Come relive the past and see the way the original settler’s lived.

If you want to visit make sure to check the times before. This is a very small museum, they have nice tours and they offer several events throughout the year that are really nice.

It is nice to go back in time and see how small the school houses were and imagine how small the community must have been.
